Product Introduction
This machine tool bed is a rectangular frame casting in grey cast iron. Regular mounting holes and grooves are distributed over the working surface, side lugs provide connection points for auxiliary units, and square feet at the base spread the load evenly onto the foundation.
The frame construction gives a high stiffness-to-weight ratio, while the closed box sections absorb cutting vibration. Chemical composition is verified by spectrometer on every melt, and hardness is checked after aging so that machinability stays consistent from batch to batch.
The pattern can be adapted to different bed lengths and hole patterns, which makes this a practical base casting for machine builders offering several models on one platform.
